Setting custom duration field in Project to elapsed duration.

Was this post useful to you?

Using c# vsto project. Currently do it using the string value and have tried to make this language independent but met difficulties in Spanish because the character which indicates elapsed ("t") is after the duration unit (as in "diast" for the English "edays"). Is there a better, language independent way?

Sure would l like to hear a solution to this one. We probe the local system to work out what strings it uses for the various duration units, what character it uses for elapsed, and whether this character comes before or after. One problem is that when the elapsed character comes last it seems to be fussy about the plural or singular form. In the English version you can get away with "3eday" (or actually I think "3ed") but in Spanish you must put "3diasd".
