After failing to use voipdiscount.co.uk on linux I found a link on the
site to sipdiscount.com, so I tried this instead. Using cornfeadsip I
can make calls but I am unable to hear anything. I tried my own phone
and when I speak into the phone I can see the lights flashing on my
router but no sound comes out of my speakers. Yet, after a minute I
hear a message saying my call has been disconnected (I have to add
credit to make calls over 60 seconds). I'm behind NAT and I have
forwarded 5060 UDP and TCP. What could the problem be?

I tried about 5 different SIP clients. Most won't register but some
will if I play about with the settings. Only one actually lets me make
calls, but won't play the sound through the speaker.

You need to forward the RTP / UDP port(s) to your PC. This is usually 5004,
but you may need 3478, 3479, 5082, 8000, and also 10000 if you are using
    STUN.

I have signed up, and have been using no problems with my router/ata.

Anyways last night it was hit and miss, I was getting the US busy signal
    after dialing??.

I am assuming it was a peak time and they do not have the capacity??.

Am I the only one having this issue, or is something a miss with them?

I've also had a few unconnected calls thru my sipdiscount and
voipbuster accounts on asterisk@home in the last 2-3 days. Today it
    seems to be connecting OK....

I had everything fine yesterday with both, VoIPBuster and SIPDiscount. But
today I'm getting a fast busy when trying to call any number. When I debug
my Cisco ATA 186, I see that both services give me an "Unauthorized" error.
Tried the "test/test" account with the SIPDiscount with the same results.

You can delete their software once you have installed, and continue to use
your own sofphone and/or SIP hardware.

The only advantegs of their software is
    a) you can use the programm to update your personal details (and password)
    b) you can use it to contact others (provide they using the same service)
note that you can contact (or add) any of the voipbuster, netappel,
voipcheap, voipstunt, etc ... users: apparantly all these service using the
    same user database

    SIPDiscount

Has anyone else noticed that SIPDiscount are not using https for their
credit card entry page when you sign in to buy credit?

I have asked them about this via the customer support form and will keep
    you posted if/when I get a reply.

Strangely, other Finarea sites (1899.com, 18185.co.uk) do use https.

I have an ongoing problem, using a Linksys Pap2 through a router, when
receiving incoming calls my phone sometimes rings and sometimes it does
not,. I have tried to take the PAP2 outside the firewall but this again did
not help, sometimes it will ring and sometimes it will not, it did not ring
on Wed night but worked on Thursday ????

    Any one having this problem?
