Images set as background not printing out

    hi,

    we've got a problem with powerpoint 2000,

whenever an image is set as a background, under Format, Background, Fill
    Effects, Picture, Select Picture

the background does not print out, however i can get the image to print out
    if i do 'Insert', 'Picture'

i don't think this is a print driver problem as i have updated the driver on
2 different PCs, and tried printing to 2 different printers, a HP laserjet
    5M and a HP 8150

    any suggestions

    thanks

Re: Images set as background not printing out

    Bryan,

If you use the Format, Background, Fill Effects, Picture, Select Picture
Then it's normal for powerpoint not to print the background.

If you do insert picture from file then it will print.

If you want to control how it will print on a black and white
    printer....then
    View menu
    black and white
right click image and choose B&W
Then choose from the settings..e.g. grayscale, inverse, light grayscale,
    auto, don't show etc
