IE7 - Manually add Search Engines

Rather than just allowing us to select from a list of search engine, why not
allow us to add the URL of the search engines we need, like NetCaptor. That
way we can have our own personalised list and also use different engines for
different jobs, i.e. Froogle for shopping, MSN for normal searches.

Re: IE7 - Manually add Search Engines

You can add any Search engine you wish by editing the registry... I provided
instructions yesterday. Please advise if you can't find them and I'll put
    something together for Netcaptor.

Re: IE7 - Manually add Search Engines

I went to the web site and clicked on the one for Google. I then went to the
registry and editted it to be a URL for Google suggest. Problem i that to
create a new entry you seem to need to create a UUID. Should be an
    easier/more user friendly way.

BTW: Here is what I set the URL to for Google Suggest

    http://www.google.com/search?complete=1&hl=en&q={searchTerms}&btnG=Googl e+Search
