Backing up quicken file

When I try to back up, Quicken selects the quicken file on my external drive to backup from. When I select the quicken file on my c drive, Quicken give me this message "backup and data directoies must differ" Can you help?

This error occurs when you try to save the backup file in the same location as the data file. Try saving the backup file in another location, you can create a new folder and save the file in new location.
