Just came across the following in Digg. I am not affiliated with the site in
any way, but have a look:
http://www.listible.com/list/online-...ors2C-checkers . There
are 138 tools listed in that page including: Search Engine Position Checker,
Favicon from Pics, BrowserCam...
Hope somebody else considers this a helpful resource...

Wouldn't that be cool? :-p
Going to check it out. Digg in itself is something I recommend to have a
peek at. I have the impression that it is faster at delivering news
compared to slashdot. Or I should say: I hardly read slash these days.

I used to read Slashdot very regularly. I did so for quite some time in fact,
perhaps polling a dozen times a day. Slashdot has become merely a feed to
have a glimpse at every morning.
In Digg, which is growing extremely quickly, there are more headlines, they
are shorter, the users are more involved and there are no Gods (or
moderators). Fewer trolls too. Every submission gets its chance and the
voting system pushes a submission where it may deem suitable. Digg has
become my favourite after only a few days or use. You can filter syndicated
items by search criteria too, to reduce the load.
Best wishes,
Roy

Uhm, you didn't see it before the new threaded system was there :-D
But I, and many others, have the impression that there is cheating going
on.
Yup, I hardly follow slashdot, and when I see a new item added, I've
already read it on digg. IIRC slashdot has a system which shows news first
to paid subscribers, and non-paying ones are behind. I am afraid that this
model is going to cost them a lot visitor wise atm.
