Thought you'd say that

Look, do this.
Go to your own site. Right click, View Source.

Then go to anybody elses site, or maybe some listed well on google, do the
same.

Your code formatting is a pos at best.
Immediately, you've got about 50 errors alone in <a href> wrapping.

For the life of me, I've never even seen a <p/> tag.

You probably broke the googlebot.

Your "experts"?
In what?

I have done this many times over the last year, in fact I ran a check
today on about.com (an internet business that places well on Google)
and found twice as many errors as my site.
As for the experts, the one I found here came across the same way as
you and others and made changes as she deamed appropriate, So who is to
claim they are an expert, certainly NOT ME, but are you or others based
on the many contradictary points that have been made here?

Did I say I was an expert?
Nope.
Not even close.
But, errors are errors, and that's a fact.
If I can find them on just a compulsory check, you can bet the googlebot
will.
Damn, it's even difficult to see where your links begin and end.

I even told you about the <p/> error.
And you ignore it.

If all you're concerned about is checking your position over the last year,
instead of listening to plain common sense, and maybe studying up a little
....
Welcome to the Google DeepEnd.
Where you'll stay.
Again, a fact.
Has been for awhile, hasn't it?

I just spoke by phone about this error, all <p/> is a paragraph space.
Anyway, I am not trying to insult you or others, only to point out
problems and contradictions. Either way I am going to follow the advice
from the tech I spoke to on the phone and not worry about the errors,
as every software program shows different errors. But to improve my
keywords and descriptions.
Thanks, Carl

You're welcome, I think.
Good luck, I think.

Just try to run that by the cops next time you get stopped. It won't fly.

Your code either validates or it does not. It doesn't make any difference at
all whether another site validates or not. If not, that's their problem.

You may not feel the need to care about the errors - maybe you have
enough business that you don't have to worry about people leaving your
site because they have trouble reading it, or maybe you're the only
game in town. But I can assure you that many of us leave sites if
they are hard to read in our prefered browsers unless there's an
absolutetly compelling reason to stay.

Why did you even bother coming here in the first place? Just to rant some? It
obviously wasn't for any help.

Why should the googlebot care? Google wants to list pages that pleases
