- OT: Dr. Who

*dances of joy*
I have the new Dr. Who here now. I just watched the first two hours of it on
Sci-Fi.
It was interesting... I think I will need to watch a few more times before I
judge it though *grin*
Not like that will be hard. I do wish some channel would show the original
Dr. Who reruns though...

P.S. that flat skin blog thing.. Cassandra... was too weird...

Bad luck. It's okay if you haven't watched real Dr Who.
Get's worse. very self-congratulatory.
UK Gold. Or, drop round to my house where I have videos and DVDs, here
in the UK the originals are being released on DVD

I have most of the sries on video from 1963 to 1989.
Because most of it is VHS it takes up an entire wardrobe.
Before videos I would save up my pocket money and buy the books which I
would read in one sitting on a Saturday morning.
I am a very sad individual and was clearly destined to work in the internet.

I got bored and started channel hopping. Never did make it back to Dr.
Who.
I thought the remake of "Hitchhiker" was excellent and expected more to
capitalize on interest in the retro ... but Dr. Who was a flop, AFAIC.

Indeed it was....And an especially nice touch when they had the old TV

Pertwee was Dr Who when i first watched the series (from behind the sofa).
The music alone had me scared.

This brings to mind a scary image of Jon Pertwee facing off against Sir

I think you mean The Celestial Toymaker though, and that was a Hartnell
story.
