- My site has vanished from search engines
- Posted by floresrikitic@hotmail.com on March 15th, 2006
I started a new site last month (nothing offensive in any way,
shape or form FWIW). It started showing up in various Google
searches every time I'd check. I'd check occasionally to see how
high up on the lists it would appear after typing in several
variations which should bring it up. Starting today, NO MATTER
what I type in at Google (and a couple others I've tried), nothing,
nada, zilch. It's as if the site ceased to exist, which it most
certainly hasn't. I don't know much about this, but my common
sense tells me it may be due to my host, which is a MAJOR
ISP in the South. Any ideas? I can't think of any logical explanation
for this, but as I said, I'm not real knowledgeable in this area.
Thanks.

This will happen if you use excessive amount of Meta keywords (Meta
spamming) or put direct href links to sites in Google black list... Or
you use search engine submission tools (SEO) restricted by Google...
If you want to improve the search engine ranking without getting
blacklisted read http://www.google.com/technology/

Follow Nirmal's advice. Once done, file a request for reinclusion.
Instructions contained in the URL below:

There's absolutely none of that. No spam or *any* links whatsoever.
It's simply some great photographs of my travels, along with a little
narration with some of the pics. I just don't get it, but thanks for
the response.

None - sorry, I believe there are one or two hosts operating from Sussex,
but I suspect their servers are elsewhere.
It's unlikely your host has any contribution to make except in the area of
reliably serving your pages on request. A s/e can't index stuff without a
spider crawl.

Was it a new domain? If so I am surprised it started showing in under a

Hi floresrikitic,
You may just find that google has switched back to old cached copies
from before your site went live. There is a lot of things going on like
that. SERPS are bucking all over the place. Hopefully your site will
reappear soon. Although don't expect too much as google does tend to
initially like a new site for a while before it gets bored with it and
waits until it is the equivalent of being 21 before it smiles at it again.
Have no idea why other SE's might have dropped you though as they tend
to quite like newer sites. Other SE's may not have found your site yet.
Be patient for a while and see if it returns is what I would recommend
to you ATM.
Good luck!
Jez.
