Anyone know anything about these guys? It's one of those "sounds too good
to be true" things. I came across their site about a year ago, and had a
brief email exchange with the owner. He said:
* At that time, the cost was $29.
Needless to say I was (and am) quite skeptical, but I considered moving
or registering a non-essential domain there to check it out. But he
ignored some of my technical questions, and I decided to shelve it. A
year later, they're still there, and the site has even been substantially
upgraded, so they're obviously making it work somehow.
I'm re-considering giving them a try, as I'm thinking of offering Phorm
as a hosted-CGI sort of thing, which is forbidden by my current host's
TOS, so I wanted to see if anyone had any information about them.

That could be your answer.
I am currently using lightningservers.net, uptime pretty good but they have
their moments like all hosts, customer service excellent, they won't ignore
you.

What is that saying about too good to be true?
there.
Also, often a useful test, measure the load times for some of the hosted
sites. (could be interesting)
Dont take my comments the wrong way, sometimes a loss leader can be a useful
business tool. - but not if it is the primary business model.
