Egads! What's happened to Google?!

Google's Web (but not Images, Groups, etc) search results page seems to
have changed layout.

Fleeing from the madness of the jungle
Toby Inkster <usenet200603@tobyinkster.co.uk> stumbled into
news:alt.www.webmaster
and said:

yes - was watching the changes yesterday (Sunday - UK) just google.com.
first the menu on the left, then some attempt at placing the paid ads at
the bottom. Also IIRC there was some UA sniffing aparent.

Haven't looked yet today - assumed it was a Sunday play day in the office

/goes to check

yes, it's still there. Only in one of my Opera installations though - at
least one other installation is the same version. FireFox and IE seem to
be displaying the traditional layout.

Tests are often based on *your* IP, so even if you use the same browser
and go to the same IP, you might see nothing yet :-D.
