I tried and failed to backorder a domain via GoDaddy's DomainAlert service.

It's been more than 24 hours I think, and WHOIS shows this:

I had that message on a backorder as well, and after about 3 days, with it,
I got my domain.

therefore hasn't been released yet
This status typically lasts around 5 days, might be more/might be less
After that, the domain name is then up for grabs... so you might still get
it
