- Anybody use Amaya?

I think you're misunderstanding the role of the W3C; they're not a
software company, they're a standards body (well... let's not get into
the "standards body" discussion just yet).
Producing software is expensive and time-consuming. The W3C have to
spend what money they have on their core business of producing
standards. Any free tools they provide, like the HTML/CSS validators,
Amaya, and other software, are a voluntary, free service to the public,
and I'm grateful for them - "validating" a document manually is a bitch!
But there are many software companies among the MEMBERS of the W3C;
those are the ones that should produce standard compliant software. It's
too bad that many of them don't.

Well, I don't really misunderstand the role, but I was unclear in my
writing :-)
I see the W3C as a "community" (or what you will called it) of
independent members working together on a "open source" basis. I just
bounce them together and mentioning them just W3C for simpleness.
Since my english is a bit limited, I'm not sure I get this explanation
right either :-)
However, I aggree that it's bad the companies that are members, don't
try to produce WYSIWYG editors that can produce valid HTML, than what
can be find today.

Your English is excellent Arne! Much better than my (and most other
people's) Swedish, which is non-existant!

Thank's Charles!
From what I can see on the photo on your website, you are mutch
younger than I am, so I can't expect your Swedish to be in the same
level as my English, but you can still learn :-)
A lot of words in Swedish (i.e IT related) is adapted from English,
some "translated" to what could be called "Swenglish", so I don't
belive your Swedish is non-exixtant if you look in to it :-)

You speak English? I thought you were Scottish.
