Friend could always run one themselves. Check out Postcast
(www.postcast.com) and Mercury/32 (www.pmail.com).

Certainly Mercury/32 is free, and last I was aware, PostCast
(specifically PostCast Server) was free as well. Perhaps if you looked
at the sites I suggested, then you would know this. Mercury says it's
free on the homepage, and PCS says it's free on the downloads page.
