Re: Submit button dosnt work

I am coming into this conversation a little late, but instead of asking the
same question again.. I thought replying would work.
I am having the same problem. From what I found out by reading this thread
and David's webpage of FAQ is I need to contact my ISP.
Ok.. I can do that.. however, I am not the web designer of our website. We
have a company that is the "webmaster" I just post pages every once in a
while in a "dropbox" folder on an FTP that our web designers have given me
to use as a temporary page, when I need it.
Do I contact my web designers for this information or do I still need to
call the ISP? And what exactly do I ask for?

This is all very new to me. The pages I normally post are usually just
plain text letters. Now I want to do a survey and would like to try this
feature on publisher.

Any help would be appreciated!!!
Thanks in advance!
Rebecca

Well I did right click on the submit button and went to the properties. I
entered my email address and switched it to email me the responses. but the
page does not work.

Silly question.. what is my web server? My isp? or the ftp that is being
use?
Can you tell I have no clue at what I am talking about.

Well I just contacted them and they said they do not support FrontPage
extensions.
Does this mean I can not use this "form" feature from publisher?

I am surprised too. She said she was going to email me the answer of "why"
they don't support FrontPage extensions. We will see if I ever get that
email.
I was so excited to find this form feature on publisher and not to find I
probably can't use it is frustrating! arg!

I have wanted to switch for a while because they just never seem to have
what we need.
But I have a stubborn co-worker that thinks he knows all and will not even
look at other ISPs. He's an idiot!
When you say "editing program code" is this too difficult to be done ? is it
worth doing? And what program are you refering to?

surprised they can stay in business.

find his weakness.

totally depends on what they have for you to use (if anything, most hosts
provide a cgi-bin directory with programs) and to what degree they instruct
and/or assist you with the use of such, and to what degree of experience you
have with code of any kind.
