Printing pages in Pub2K
Posted by Dr. Gary on August 24th, 2003

I had an interesting thing happen. I have a page that prints fine, but when
I convert it to a web page it does not print at all, either in preview or on
the web itself.
This is very strange... Anyone explain why?
Thanks.
Gary

fyi, saying preview or on the web is unnecessary as it's the same web page
either way.
I wouldn't say it's strange at all since a web page is html code and has no
relevance to a print document.
Provide a url of the page and I can review the code to determine what the
browser can't print.

Go to http://www.kirsten-pow.com/page2.html or
http://www.kirsten-pow.com/page3.html. Can't remember now which of the two.

it is page3 and it is because the web page IS NOT text, it is an image.
img6.gif to be precise. I just right-clicked the page and saved the image.
unlayer objects so that you get a true html web page that is composed of
text and single images.
I recommend you visit my 2000 page and review my Using Pub2k smarter
article.
