How do I keep the page from jumping around when I click in Publis.

When I am working in Publisher, the screen re-writes itself every time I
click in a different area on the page, making it "jump around" on the screen.
This is hard to deal with when I am fine-tuning object positions. Any way
to suppress the re-write feature?

Perhaps this happens when you click in and out of a text box? It seems I
remember this happening because the Formatting tool bar appears below the
Standard toolbar when you click a text box. This shifts the page
down...makes it "jump around". If so, you might play around with the
placement of the two toolbars. go to View > Toolbars > tick both the
Standard and the Formatting toolbars. If the Formatting tool bar is on the
same line as the Standard toolbar, move the Formatting toolbar to a second
line below the Standard toolbar. If the Formatting toolbar is already on a
second line that disappears when you click outside of a text box, and shifts
the page, then try the opposite...move it to the same line as the Standard
toolbar. Test both placements by clicking in and out of a text box. If this
doesn't help, post back with more details as to when your page shifts, and
what version of Publisher you are using.
