- How do I fix Publisher website for different DPI settings?
- Posted by Smithink on January 17th, 2006
I have designed a website on a mchine with 96DPI (normal size) but it doesn't
display correctly on a machine with 120DPI (large size). How can I design a
site that caters for all DPI settings?

If you're looking for a short and easy answer or a simple checkbox in
Publisher, sorry to disappoint you. The reality is that web design is an art,
very fluid at that, and not a science. One cannot design for every possible
environment the site may be viewed in. Enlarging text and enlarging DPI are
two scenarios that are typically very harsh to any web site. There are some
design techniques Professionals can use to help mitigate such effects, but
these are techniques that cannot be achieved with Publisher. With Publisher
you are merely achieving a design that should hold for the "typical" viewer.
