- Who is else beside Yahoo!?
- Posted by Mike on August 10th, 2005
Hi everyone,
Yahoo has different versions in different languages: Spanish, Chinese,
French,...etc.
Which other internet search engine company has similar things in
different languages?
Thanks,
Mike

Unless you are talking about entire portal, in which case Google is
internationalised to a high extent too.

Roy,
I found the above Google links to be very weired! I am not looking for
translation of original things in English into different languages; NO
If you go to "Yahoo France", you see Yahoo of France; not a translation
of English Yahoo to French.
Do you see my point? So, does Google has that?

Thanks for reminding me. Back to my question, is Yahoo alone in that
field?

There are tons of localised ones, but Yahoo is the primary international one
(i.e. one which by principle covers many countries). MSN, as yet another
example, appear to offer pretty much the same type of localised content.
They even shove it in Internet Explorer as the default home page. Are you
looking for a portal of one particular country?
