- DMOZ

Hello,
How long would DMOZ take to stick a site in its Index? I submitted our site
yesterday morning, I am guessing as it's manual, it could take some time.

Ask again in about 6 months. You haven't waited long enough only one day.
Then we could tell you to wait another 6 moths as some people have waited
that long.

Hello Scotsman,
It depends on the categor, the amount of submitted sites in that
category, if there is an editor and so on.
I did a request for one of my sites over 1,5 years ago and it still
isn't listed. For another site i did a request and it was listed within
2 weeks.
So, anything can happen and there is no guarantee your site will be listed.

Months at least, if ever. You have submitted and now it is time to stop
thinking about, as there is nothing you can do - you can only wait.

The closing of Zeal is another example of the sad reality that quality of
content and submission requirements are increasingly becoming negligible
considerations. Anything remotely resembling having integrity cannot sustain
the bottom line anymore.

So it really depends on the editor of the category and if your site
gets added at all.

Getting listed in DMOZ entirely depends on when the next edit of your
category is. This can depend on whether an editor has the category
specifically, whether they are active, etc.
The only thing you can do is to submit once, and forget about it.
Hopefully one day you will be listed. Absolutely no way to get an
advantage.
