good tips on how to get quality links to our site.

I spotted several good leads to information that would be useful to
both novice and experienced webmasters by searching on "link building
tips". Start by following the link on Aaron Wall's SEO Book site that
points to a posting on Webmaster World. I read that not long ago and
thought it had some good ideas. But be prepared for the simple fact
that there are no shortcuts here. One way or another, link building is
a time-sucking black hole in cyberspace.

Ideally, you should fill your site with such insightful prose that the
webmasters all over the world will be burning up the Internet posting
your link on their site. Of course for most of us, especially those
who run classic ecommerce sites, that doesn't come easily. There's
always a time crunch for small businesspeople and you have to work out
a structure for incorporating information pages into an ecommerce site.
So, continuously adding great content to these sites is, to say the
least, a challenge. So, you need to find other ways to build links.
There's always the classic link exchange, but that's a path of
diminishing returns. Too many sites that actively pursue link
exchanges have vast, automated link directories that are so filled with
links that search engines rarely crawl them completely or credit the
links they provide with much ranking oomph. Submitting to directories
is a relatively painless path to a link, but finding directories that
give worthwhile links isn't that easy either.

There is help out there. Keep digging. Good luck!
