Hello,

When I search for "The Conference Board" I get a strange difference in
the number of web pages, depending on what time span is included. When
I change the search from counting pages last updated at any time, to
include only those web pages updated in the last 90 days, the count
goes up, from 1,730,000 to 1,750,000! I expected the count to go down
when I limited the search to pages updated in the last 90 days. What
happened?

Google uses approximation algorithms to calculate how many documents
contain the search query words to save computing resources and to give
faster search results.
