- Help with indexed site
- Posted by SEOPulse on March 23rd, 2006
Hi all,
Today I was searching Google to see if our web site was already indexed
by Google, and I found the following strange results:
seopulse.com™ - email: domaininfo@instealthmode.com - We're in ...
www.seopulse.com/
Now first of all seopulse.com is NOT a trademark of anyone and
specially this company which claims that it is their trademark, second
there is not text or meta tags on our website pages that show such
text.
So can someone please help me and tell me why this is happening? And
what shall I do to correct this problem?
And finally why did Google do this?
Regards,
Joe

Google sometimes shows search results for the old versions of the
pages. Look at the cached page:
"This is G o o g l e's cache of http://www.seopulse.com/ as retrieved
on 16 Jul 2005 03:25:16 GMT."
http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:...n&ct=clnk&cd=1
See the date? It's "16 Jul 2005".

Hi Tomi,
Thank you so much for your reply and help.
So how can I tell Google that there is a new version of the site? Or in
other words that they should refresh their cache? Or will Google
refresh its cache by itself soon?
Thanks in advance

Google *should* update its index automatically. That means about once a
month for new or low PageRank pages and more often for more popular
sites.
