- Google Earth -- feature suggestion
- Posted by mvirts@gmail.com on March 7th, 2006
I would just like to put a suggestion for the betterment of google
earth out there.
It would be very helpful (not to mention cool) if google earth could
use picutres and position data off of a server or a local machine to
render photos in the location that they were taken (including
orientation). clicking on a photo would make the camera fly to the
perspective of the image, overlaying it over the landscape. That way
users could see a real photo of an area along with a simulated version.
If you've already thought of this, good luck.
p.s. -- (it would be nice to find a way to integrate GPS and cameras,
along with angle sensors, to embedd that position data into the images
themselves)
