Google Desktop makes my motherboard bip
Posted by Helge on March 26th, 2006

After installing Google Desktop my motherboard bips 3-4 times ones
every hour whitout reson. Nothing on the screen shows any activity or
alarm. Rather nasty and alarming!
Especially when you look on the groups and read what other people has
experienced, - and what Google don't answer!
I don't want any monitoring or other activity as deep as my bios, so I
uninstalled.
Any explanation?

I had the same problem, but I found that it only beeped when I was
'archiving' my hard disk, so I stopped doing that, and I could finally
go to sleep.

The beep was LOUD! I couldn't replicate it through the command prompt
or anything else, strange...
