Default search site question
Posted by chiriquibob on March 28th, 2006

When I type in a web address and it is not correct or doesn't exist,
MSN comes up with a search. I have been trying like crazy to find how
to stop that. I eliminated MSN in the registry (Windows 98) and put
Google in, but it keeps changing back. Can someone help me eliminate
this beast?
Thanks

If I understand: you don't want MSN as search engine and don't want to
see MSN? If that's correct, my view is same so: just make Google your
Home page. (I think MSN can't be removed from registry, but I could be
wrong.)

In Windows 98: > Tools > Internet options > (enter www.google.com in
the window) > Make SURE to > apply (--bottom right corner) or else
nothing will change.
