- ANN: Salery 1.1 Web Store Software Released
- Posted by Mark Schonewille on March 2nd, 2006
Economy-x-Talk.com has released Salery 1.1!
Salery web shop software allows you to quickly set up your own
web shop. You don't need special hard ware or a dedicated server
and you don't need to pay even a small amount of money for each
advertised item.
Salery lets you maintain a database in the simplest way
possible. Just start the Salery application, enter a title and a
description for the item you want to sell, decide on the price
and whether you want to use PayPal, and on to the next item.
Simple as that.
A great feature is Salary's ability to directly upload your Web
Shop to your FTP account. Almost every ISP offers an FTP account
with your subscription. Salery makes it easy to set up your FTP
account and to make your web shop accessible to the entire World
Wide Web.
Salery keeps a library of all the pictures you use. This means
that you can easily use pictures again and don't need to worry
about where to store files that you might need later. Salery
does this for you.
Salery makes it easy to design your web page. It creates a style
sheet that is included with the web pages it generates. Salery
users who have experience with designing homepages may replace
the style sheet to adjust the lay-out to that of their own homepage.
When you have sold an item, just go back to the right page in
the database. If you are using PayPal, it is easy to find the
right item, because the item number is included in your payment
notification. You simply adjust your database and upload the
adjusted page. When you add or change an item in your web store,
you can upload the new page, but you can also upload the entire
web store after adding a number of pages.
Can we still make it easier? Yes! We believe we can make Salery
still easier to use! If you have a license for Salery 1.0, you
are entitled to using all future versions 1.x. Check for updates
regularly!
For more information about the Salery web store software, go to
the Salery homepage.
New in this version:
* A dialog to save a new copy of the Salery document appeared
once, after opening and closing an existing Salery document.
This problem has been fixed and now the dialog appears only when
a new document has been created and the document is modified and
saved or if the user intentionally opened a copy of an existing
document.
* The user homepage is included in the meta tags of the web
store site.
* The FTP-Log window has been slightly improved.
* The square buttons with links to the help page and other sites
of the Salery web store have been replaced with button-like
anti-aliased images.
* On Windows, the process Salery really terminates when the
application is closed.
